Tips to make your wedding make up last as long as your day.

A good skin care routine is essential for a flawless look, so cleanse thoroughly, tone and moisturise, and allow to dry naturally before you apply your make-up. This will ensure you have a good base for your make-up, and will get a smooth foundation covering.
Make sure you always have clean and dry brushes to apply your make up as any water or oil will make it slide off.
Build up your make up in layers. So after your foundation then apply any concealers or pigment correctors needed. A highlighting concealer under your eyes like YSL touché eclat. A blemish concealer on any spots such as Clinque Anti blemish clearing concealer or Vie at Home's correct and perfect which is a palette with all the concealers in you could ever need. Even a green toned one to reduce redness or rosacia.
Using loose translucent powder lightly over the top gives a lovely shine free and sheer finish. Now you have a fantastic base to apply your eye colours and your blush or bronzer.
To prepare your lips exfoliate them slightly with a tooth brush and lightly moisturise (make sure that you’ve brushed your teeth!) then sweep some translucent powder over.
Always use a lip pencil for definition and to stop your lipstick or gloss for bleeding. Enhance your lip line if needed and also fill in your lips with your liner to act as a base for your gloss. Vie at Home have a fantastic one called 'within limits' it comes in clear or neutral so can match with whatever colour you are going for. Opt for a neutral gloss, to create a natural, timeless look. Keep your liner & gloss with you all day for touch ups.
Now you are ready to create your look for your big day that will last all day & through to the night!

Tiaras and acessories - Flo & Percy

I have discovered an AMAZING website with absolutely stunning vintage tiaras, combs and accessories.
I have quite a collection of pieces myself but would love a Flo & Percy one!

Accessories are such an important part of your bridal look. From your jewelry to hair accessories to your attendants bags. There is always a really wide range available form places like department stores and your bridal shop, but for a more individual look I recommend trying to find someone like Flo & Percy as they can custom make pieces for you too!

Ok, So this is my first ever blog............Here goes!
Today I am going to break myself in gently with not too much writing - I'm a hairdresser (and make up artist), never the less still not known for our intellectual skills!
As this is my first blog I'm going to start at the beginning with what almost every bride tells me is their dream wedding day hairstyle...............''Half up and half down, curly.'' All though this season I expect I will get asked for a ''messy side bun'' Now I like this style at the moment but I'm sure by June I will be sick of doing it over and over but using accessories, extensions and hair pieces these same old same old styles can be transformed into things of gorgeousness!
